Horizon
Level design within the Unreal Engine
Using the Unreal Engine to create a small level focused on environmental storytelling. Working to a brief around the theme 'Traces'.
All models, sounds and assets were self created before being brought into the engine. Blueprinting and triggers were used to aid in the experience.
The project
In this project I utilised a number of skills to create the environment: 3d modelling; Unreal Engine and blueprints; idea concepting and audio generation.

The project received an A mark.
The environment
Working to create an environment utilising the idea of 'traces', I created an abandoned dig site concept and related ephemera.
Setting the mood
I made heavy use of created assets to build an environment that felt abandoned. With audio cues, posters and chatlogs on computer screens giving the player more background information.
I made use of corporate posters and branding to give a sense of the overbearing, Horizon management.
