QA Tester at Tag Games
Abertay Game Design and Production graduate 2021.
I’m highly interested in experimental game design and the creation of small games.
Created as a solo project during the Global Game Jam 2021, Party Crasher acted as an early exploration of project aims and design concepts.
In playing Party Crasher, the player's sole objective is to deliver a present to a party in hell. Though, having lost their invite they must find a hidden route in.

Party Crasher includes many early uses of concepts and design ideas that would later be used in my honours project. Primarily the explicit telegraphing of threats and attempting to tie mechanics to the surrounding world.

While simple and light-hearted, Party Crasher shows the formation of concepts that would evolve into my final honours project "Delivering space mail for your awful employer in a strange space station while your curious helmet talks to you".
Trying to get in
The bouncers explicitly stop the player from entering the party conventionally.
They must find an alternate route through the area to deliver the present.
Honours project precursor
The reflection on the use of in-world text hints would eventually lead to the concepting and creation of the visor in the main prototype.
