You are a bad detective and you should stop drinking on the job.

Created as an exploration of the Bitsy engine while researching use of constraints in the creation of small prototypes.

IHNSCBIMD

Using the Bitsy game engine I created IHNSCBIMD to explore the use of the constraints in rapid prototyping.

Developed over two nights as a makeshift game jam. It ended up as a strange, light-hearted exploration of the Bitsy engine's functionality.

Skills shown - design, prototyping, working within time and technical constraints.

CONTROLS

Use the arrow keys to start the game and navigate the world.

Clues = clues +1

Keeping track of clues with Bitsy variables allowed for some use of changing dialogue with suspects.

The engine's ease of use allowed for quick testing and implementation of ideas. One such idea was using 'rooms' to fake emotions or interactions.

Drinking on the job

The player has the opportunity to drink flasks of booze throughout the short runtime. Depending on the amount drunk, the detective will begin to hallucinate as well as characters reacting differently.
