There are Ghosts. You kick them.
Made for the Abertay Game Development Society Spooky Jam 2020.

A small, janky prototype about kicking ghosts.
I used the jam as an opportunity to try out scripting functions that I hadn't previously used and learned some cool new tricks.

Its more of a interactive series of bugs and issues - but, I am happy I could bash out a game for the jam on my own including scripting and trying new things out.
Kicking ghosts isn't straightforward
They (should) fly through objects while approaching the player - with the kick functioning within a certain distance as a prompt appears.
But the distance check stopped working - letting players kick from extreme distances. Weird as that was, it went down well and people enjoyed the experience.
Bugs, but also fixes!
The biggest lesson from this Jam though, was that I should have stuck with the scripting I knew. The majority of the time was spent learning about and fixing issues with raytracing collisions. The spawning system I put together also completely broke before submission so I jury rigged a vague little bit of gameplay for submission. Though as janky as it seems I'm happy with how often I was able to fix issues myself.
